About Us

Lone Star Custom Upholstery started in April of 1994 as a husband and wife team with over 20 years of commercial sewing, technical and mechanical hands on experience under our belts. It is a local family owned and operated business. It started in a small shop beside our house in Lewisville Texas. We started taking jobs ranging from small repairs to complete interior restoration on boats. Soon after we opened we made ourselves known to most of the local boat dealers and they started giving us business and referrals.

Then in October of 1997 we relocated from the small shop to a larger shop in Old Lewisville and hired more help to assist in this rapidly growing company. Eventually we were taking on more work from the local dealers to anyone who owned a boat. Also, because of a large call for boat covers and canvas work, so we started taking jobs for canvas work as well for fiberglass repair, and floor / carpet replacement. We also started doing custom and experimental designs for our clients. THEY LOVED IT !!!!

Finally in 1999 we relocated a third time to a much bigger shop still in Old Lewisville. We expanded our skills to include repairing gel coat and other technical needs. We gladly accept jobs on the marinas for the bigger boats that require canvas and or upholstery work that can't be brought in to our shop.

We are now well known in the local marine repair industry for using quality marine products and quality marine craftsmanship where no job is to large or small. We have always believed in a one on one customer relationship, as each customer's repair needs are different.
 We now have a second shop in Gainesville,Tx. (see below)
